Hey,

Well, Bali is set to open for international visitors again on September 11th. They marked the announcement with mass prayers at a Hindu temple, expressing gratitude for how the situation was handled and seeking blessings for the period ahead.

As for leaving this island, the situation remains up in the air. Flights are slowly returning but I hesitate to depart this peaceful place with so much uncertainty out there in the world.

Besides, a beautiful, semi-secluded village seems like a good spot to wait...even if I need to remove a hand-sized spider from the house every now and then.

Matcha (our rescued kitten) is doing very well, bouncing around and purring all day. She's also ready for her rabies vaccination so I can take her with me when I leave. I bet she never imagined being a world traveler...nor did I imagine traveling with a kitten!

Unbelievable Canadian Road Trips
As road trips become the new thing, I spent time browsing through these 11 road trip ideas in Alberta, Canada. Let's just say the David Thompson Highway and the Icefields Parkway trips have immediately been added to my travel wishlist!
