Last Week in Lisbon
As my second week in Lisbon comes to an end, I'm feeling quite refreshed. As hoped for, I spent a good amount of time socializing, meeting new people, getting work done, eating good food and also wandering all over the hilly streets of this picturesque city every day.
I also spent time in beautiful parks, sipping coffee in laid-back squares and walking at sunset along the waterfront path that stretches almost along the entire length of the city, all the way over to Belem.
It was the slight taste of 'normal life' that I needed before I head back to Bucharest on Friday. It also confirmed my desire to get a proper home base as soon as I can. Once my upcoming period of constant travel comes to an end in November, choosing and setting up such a home base will be the main goal!
Romania to the US
After spending the next 3 weeks in Romania, I'll then fly back to the US in mid-August to visit family.
I also need to go to a follow-up appointment with the surgeon who performed my hip surgery this year and take care of some other boring things such as buying more contact lenses and a new suitcase. I just noticed the other day that my current
Dakine suitcase is pretty close to falling apart. Somehow I hadn't noticed the several holes, deep scratches and almost busted wheels until now!
So, overall, things are rolling along smoothly, I'm going to enjoy these final few days in Lisbon and then, the traveling shall continue!
