A Very Livable City in Romania, A Lost City in Colombia, the Loneliest Place in the World and Much More!
Hey,
The clouds have parted, the sun has been shining for two days in a row and I even paid a visit to my old neighborhood by the beach.
Right now I'm at Jardin Urbano, having a coffee and doing some work. If the sun keeps shining I'll go for a walk through the wonderful Turia Park afterwards. Should be a good day!
Destinations of the Week
Unsurprisingly, many of the conversations I have in my daily life revolve around travel. And over the past week, a wide range of destinations and topics came up. Here's a few:
Angola - Does anyone know much about this country? I certainly don't.
Brunei - A different and easy hop from Bali in case you need to do a visa run.
Cluj-Napoca, Romania - Ranked as a very livable city, the world will start hearing more about it soon.
Tallinn, Estonia - This city might be small, but with Helsinki, Riga and St. Petersburg nearby, it sure is an excellent base for exploring the whole region.
Accra, Ghana - If I wanted to get to a very warm destination right now, Accra is not terribly far away, it's 32C (90F) and it's a place I'd be interested in learning more about.
A view of Tallinn, Estonia - a great base to visit the entire region!
The rest of this week's travel email...
Stromboli Island What life is like living under one of the world's most active volcanoes.
Wandering Earl Tours - Ready to join one of my small-group tours to some really cool destinations around the world?
Travel Insurance - Traveling soon? Check out Safety Wing, my personal favorite for incredibly affordable travel insurance.
Cruise ship jobs - Save money and travel the world! My popular e-Guide "How to Work on a Cruise Ship" helps you get a rewarding job on board a cruise ship.
Travel resources - My updated Travel Resources with the booking sites, gear, apps and more that I use on my own travels.
