We Now Live Near the Beach, China's Crazy Remote Teahouse, a 40 Day Hike in Jordan and More...

Hey,

Yesterday we moved.

It was time to leave the jungle quarantine life of Bali's interior in order to be closer to the coast, even though the beaches here are all closed.

We have now rented a house for a month in the town of Seminyak. Life in this town is very quiet at the moment and we still plan to stay inside most of the time, with occasional walks.

But our new place is quite a find with its open, airy design. It gives us more space (especially for the kitten), a great location and with the lack of tourists, the deal was too good to refuse. We're paying about $35 per night for a place that is usually well over $100!

And hopefully the beaches open up soon so that we can at least walk along the sand in the evenings. If it doesn't happen though, the change of scenery still works for us!

Home sweet home for the next month!

Sharing the Love
I'm really excited for you to check out the mix of items below that were sent to me to be shared with everyone!
  • My friend Charlie started a wonderful NGO called Hello Future. They do great work helping adolescents living in refugee camps gain skills to become entrepreneurs and community leaders. (Here's a sweet video created by some of the young refugees, all on their own!)

  • Mike wanted to bring attention to the One Fair Wage emergency fund that helps service workers during these challenging times.

  • Suggie used her time at home to create her first workout video, which will definitely get you moving around and feeling good! It's easy to follow and suitable for all levels.

  • Amanda from A Dangerous Business is celebrating her travel blog's 10th anniversary with a bunch of excellent giveaways throughout May!

  • Mark shared a super interesting mini-documentary about the only country music singer in the Republic of Georgia and his dream of making it to Nashville one day.

  • And in a very timely piece, fellow blogger and kitten rescuer Sherry Ott wrote a useful and detailed post on everything you need to know about fostering kittens!
